Planning Blog: Day Three of Filming





 Hello Blog, how are you? How did your Friday go? My Friday was ok, 4/10. I work tomorrow so I am about to go to sleep soon. Have you ate, what are your plans for the weekend? 


Its time!! I have been waiting for day three of filming since this process has started. It was the big scene where the lead actor goes missing/ suddenly disappears. Jahziah did not give everyone a set time to be at her house. She just told us not to get there before 5. This was our only scene that had to be filmed in the dark/ nighttime. Jahziah and I decided for this scene to be at night to make the effect feel more mysterious. I feel as if the dim lighting and it actually being night adds that affect and feeling for the viewers. I arrived to Jahziahs house around 5:30-6:00. Most of the other actors were already there. Everyone was just excited as me to see how this was going to come out. So, we started filmed the part of the girls arriving to the party and greeting everyone inside. This was another part of the film where I had to find noncopyrighted music for everyone to pretend to be enjoying. The music volume would lower if someone was talking during this scene. All the attention went on the main actor as soon as she stepped into the room/ party. Next, she decided to step away from her friends to answer a text. Her friends were excited but somewhat nervous for her. The main character started getting all excited and jittery when the guy she was texting said he was 5 minutes away. Little did she know, this was the last 5 minutes she would see her friends. Jahziah and I had to plan this part out accordingly because the safety hazard of putting someone's head into a bag. Jahziah and I brainstormed many ways to execute this part of the film and decided this was the best way to end it. It would keep the viewers most interested and wanting to see what is going to happen next. Everyone on set was not really laughing during this part but, being serious and seeing how it was truly going to turn out. Well.. everyone did laugh on the first take because the main actor did not expect the bag to be thrown on her head so aggressively.. But, what can I say, another successful/ last day of filming.

Hello blog, how was your day? I am so tired. I just got off of work. I am somewhat excited for spring break. Today I will be speaking to you about how my group and I had to refilm one of the sciences for the final task.  In the peer review, Jahziah’s sister is the one that watched our final task and gave us comments on it. She said the lighting during the dance scene was bad. She said since it was too light, it didn’t give the feeling that the actors were at a party. After we noticed this mistake, we decided to plan another day to refilm this scene. Around 5 to 6 people made it to the refilming day.  The day we decided to refill most of the people canceled so we had to work with who was there. It was a little upsetting and stressful but we made it work. The main characters were able to attend, but we didn’t have extra people for the dancing scene.  when everyone got to Jahziah’s house, we decided to talk and plan how we were going to to refilm this scene to make it better...

First Day of Editing

 Hello blog, how has your day been? Did you have anything fun planned for the weekend? I have been fine. I worked so, I am really tired.  In today's blog I will be telling you how my first day of editing went. The group and I decided to do all the editing in class together so the work was equally distrusted. We all made sure to share any ideas we had during this process as well.  I wanted to make the editing process easy. So, the scenes were all shot on different days and the scenes would be edited separately as well. It makes things easier for everyone. I use Inshot to edit videos. It is easy and the features are easy to learn. This app has so many cool features to use. I really enjoy the audio effects Inshot has on the app.  The first scene was filmed in Jahziahs bedroom. Finally Finished!!

 Hello Blog, how did your day go? It’s almost Friday. The day went by kind of quick. Do you have any plans for the weekend? I work Saturday and Sunday so, that’s what i’ll be doing.  Today was the last day of editing. It took some time but, I am so excited to see how it turns out. There is some bad news that J should probably mention…  So, our third member of the group, Kester might be switching schools. this came out of nowhere. if we had to re-film, we would have to find somebody to play his part. we made memories during this project so it’s kind of sad to see him go. hopefully he’ll go on and do better at his new school.  Some bad news about editing is that we won’t be able to get the texts on the screen. The group and I have to find a font for the peoples names that were part of the film. We tried to find another way to show the viewers the back-and-forth text messages.
