Production Blog: Starting Destination


 Good morning Blog!! 

I hope you all have had a great weekend. What did you do? Any upcoming events? This weekend, I filmed with my group. I wanted to make sure to get things done and early because I am going to have a busy couple of weeks. I take my birthday pictures this weekend and will be out of town next weekend. The first location of recording was my home. My group is Jahziah and myself. I guess her and I both did not want to actually be in the film. I contacted two of my close friends who I know were more comfortable in front of the camera. The main idea of this film was to create any arguing scene, a scene of the girl alone in the park, and a scene where the couple rekindles at the end. The actors that played the girl and boy in the film are Jaelis and Aurum. The group and I decided the film was going to begin at my house. The group and I all met up at 3pm on Saturday. Most of the group were only able to be there till 5pm so I made sure to get everything done as quick as possible. The group and I started off figuring out the camera angles that were going to be used and how the film would start off. It was a lot of laughter going around. I genuinely enjoyed recording with them. My mom was also putting her input of what she thought would be good. It was a group effort and I was glad that the group and I were able to work smoothly and efficiently.

Hello blog, how was your day? I am so tired. I just got off of work. I am somewhat excited for spring break. Today I will be speaking to you about how my group and I had to refilm one of the sciences for the final task.  In the peer review, Jahziah’s sister is the one that watched our final task and gave us comments on it. She said the lighting during the dance scene was bad. She said since it was too light, it didn’t give the feeling that the actors were at a party. After we noticed this mistake, we decided to plan another day to refilm this scene. Around 5 to 6 people made it to the refilming day.  The day we decided to refill most of the people canceled so we had to work with who was there. It was a little upsetting and stressful but we made it work. The main characters were able to attend, but we didn’t have extra people for the dancing scene.  when everyone got to Jahziah’s house, we decided to talk and plan how we were going to to refilm this scene to make it better...

First Day of Editing

 Hello blog, how has your day been? Did you have anything fun planned for the weekend? I have been fine. I worked so, I am really tired.  In today's blog I will be telling you how my first day of editing went. The group and I decided to do all the editing in class together so the work was equally distrusted. We all made sure to share any ideas we had during this process as well.  I wanted to make the editing process easy. So, the scenes were all shot on different days and the scenes would be edited separately as well. It makes things easier for everyone. I use Inshot to edit videos. It is easy and the features are easy to learn. This app has so many cool features to use. I really enjoy the audio effects Inshot has on the app.  The first scene was filmed in Jahziahs bedroom. Finally Finished!!

 Hello Blog, how did your day go? It’s almost Friday. The day went by kind of quick. Do you have any plans for the weekend? I work Saturday and Sunday so, that’s what i’ll be doing.  Today was the last day of editing. It took some time but, I am so excited to see how it turns out. There is some bad news that J should probably mention…  So, our third member of the group, Kester might be switching schools. this came out of nowhere. if we had to re-film, we would have to find somebody to play his part. we made memories during this project so it’s kind of sad to see him go. hopefully he’ll go on and do better at his new school.  Some bad news about editing is that we won’t be able to get the texts on the screen.
