Production Blog: Add Ins


 Good morning blog. How was your weekend? Did you do anything fun over the weekend? I did not go to school Thursday and Friday because I was out of town. My aunts birthday was 10/24, my baby cousin was 10/25, and mine was 10/26. On the weekend, my aunt threw my baby cousin his first birthday party. The the theme was cars and all my family was there. I had so much fun. 

Last blog I spoke up cutting the scenes and making sure the best takes made the cut. Today, I will speak up how I adjusted the sounds and music to fit the blog. Picking the song was quick and easy when Jahziah and I already had an idea of what the groups idea of the music video was. I decided to cut the song to the parts that would be used in the video. I wanted to use the beginning and the end of the song. It was hard to pick the scenes that were wanted because the video has to be 1:15. In my opinion, it was kind of hard to fit our ideas into that short amount of time. But, the group and I tried our best to portray our creative ideas. In the beginning of the video, it started off with a phone call ring. Then, it went to the actors talking and arguing about a situation. Then, the beginning of the song started playing as Jaelis was leaving the house heading to the park. I think it was perfect how Jahziah and I ideas came to life. It really came out exactly how I wanted it to.

Hello blog, how was your day? I am so tired. I just got off of work. I am somewhat excited for spring break. Today I will be speaking to you about how my group and I had to refilm one of the sciences for the final task.  In the peer review, Jahziah’s sister is the one that watched our final task and gave us comments on it. She said the lighting during the dance scene was bad. She said since it was too light, it didn’t give the feeling that the actors were at a party. After we noticed this mistake, we decided to plan another day to refilm this scene. Around 5 to 6 people made it to the refilming day.  The day we decided to refill most of the people canceled so we had to work with who was there. It was a little upsetting and stressful but we made it work. The main characters were able to attend, but we didn’t have extra people for the dancing scene.  when everyone got to Jahziah’s house, we decided to talk and plan how we were going to to refilm this scene to make it better...

First Day of Editing

 Hello blog, how has your day been? Did you have anything fun planned for the weekend? I have been fine. I worked so, I am really tired.  In today's blog I will be telling you how my first day of editing went. The group and I decided to do all the editing in class together so the work was equally distrusted. We all made sure to share any ideas we had during this process as well.  I wanted to make the editing process easy. So, the scenes were all shot on different days and the scenes would be edited separately as well. It makes things easier for everyone. I use Inshot to edit videos. It is easy and the features are easy to learn. This app has so many cool features to use. I really enjoy the audio effects Inshot has on the app.  The first scene was filmed in Jahziahs bedroom. Finally Finished!!

 Hello Blog, how did your day go? It’s almost Friday. The day went by kind of quick. Do you have any plans for the weekend? I work Saturday and Sunday so, that’s what i’ll be doing.  Today was the last day of editing. It took some time but, I am so excited to see how it turns out. There is some bad news that J should probably mention…  So, our third member of the group, Kester might be switching schools. this came out of nowhere. if we had to re-film, we would have to find somebody to play his part. we made memories during this project so it’s kind of sad to see him go. hopefully he’ll go on and do better at his new school.  Some bad news about editing is that we won’t be able to get the texts on the screen. The group and I have to find a font for the peoples names that were part of the film. We tried to find another way to show the viewers the back-and-forth text messages.
