Production Blog - Story of Videos


 Good morning blog. I hope you’ve ate breakfast and got enough sleep. I slept well and ate a breakfast hash brown from McDonald’s. Today , I am going to explain to you the videos I have chosen to use for my commercial. First , I chose to include a video of when I got my hair done for school. I love having my hair done because I don’t have to wake up so early to get ready for school. I love trying new styles and my friend Gen does my hair occasionally because she’s still in college. Next , is a video of my cousin and I making a TikTok in the hotel bathroom. Sofi and I are always dancing , making TikTok's , and making each other laugh. Last , is a video of me dancing in the movie theater. I love doing TikTok dances no matter where I am. My mom was taking this video of me and I didn’t notice it because I was so focused into learning the dance. Now , I am cropping the videos to make sure they are not so long. I was thinking about editing apps and then realized that I have barely any storage on my phone. So most likely I will use my mom phone to make the commercial and then edit on there as well. I am used to using Inshot for editing videos but I hear everyone talking about CapCut so I might try it out. My little sister uses it to make her TikToks edits so it should not be that hard. I used to make little Youtube videos when I was in middle school so the whole editing process is not completely new to me. I am really thinking of doing a cooking show or hot seat videos. I would either cook or bake something and hot seat videos and basically when someone asks you the questions. I will be back next blog to secure our plans. See you later !!

Hello blog, how was your day? I am so tired. I just got off of work. I am somewhat excited for spring break. Today I will be speaking to you about how my group and I had to refilm one of the sciences for the final task.  In the peer review, Jahziah’s sister is the one that watched our final task and gave us comments on it. She said the lighting during the dance scene was bad. She said since it was too light, it didn’t give the feeling that the actors were at a party. After we noticed this mistake, we decided to plan another day to refilm this scene. Around 5 to 6 people made it to the refilming day.  The day we decided to refill most of the people canceled so we had to work with who was there. It was a little upsetting and stressful but we made it work. The main characters were able to attend, but we didn’t have extra people for the dancing scene.  when everyone got to Jahziah’s house, we decided to talk and plan how we were going to to refilm this scene to make it better...

First Day of Editing

 Hello blog, how has your day been? Did you have anything fun planned for the weekend? I have been fine. I worked so, I am really tired.  In today's blog I will be telling you how my first day of editing went. The group and I decided to do all the editing in class together so the work was equally distrusted. We all made sure to share any ideas we had during this process as well.  I wanted to make the editing process easy. So, the scenes were all shot on different days and the scenes would be edited separately as well. It makes things easier for everyone. I use Inshot to edit videos. It is easy and the features are easy to learn. This app has so many cool features to use. I really enjoy the audio effects Inshot has on the app.  The first scene was filmed in Jahziahs bedroom. Finally Finished!!

 Hello Blog, how did your day go? It’s almost Friday. The day went by kind of quick. Do you have any plans for the weekend? I work Saturday and Sunday so, that’s what i’ll be doing.  Today was the last day of editing. It took some time but, I am so excited to see how it turns out. There is some bad news that J should probably mention…  So, our third member of the group, Kester might be switching schools. this came out of nowhere. if we had to re-film, we would have to find somebody to play his part. we made memories during this project so it’s kind of sad to see him go. hopefully he’ll go on and do better at his new school.  Some bad news about editing is that we won’t be able to get the texts on the screen. The group and I have to find a font for the peoples names that were part of the film. We tried to find another way to show the viewers the back-and-forth text messages.
