Production Blog - Found my Songs !




 Hi blog , nice to talk to you again. How has your week been going? Has anything stressful or exciting happened? My week has been a little busy. I take a CERT class after school on Tuesday’s from 6-8:30, my cadet meeting on Wednesday's from 5-7, and on top of that, my school work that’s due on Friday. Today I am going to go home , take a nap , and then work on all my homework. I want to make sure I use my time productively and do everything I need to do. So , I am going to talk about the 2 songs i’ve picked for my commercial. As I’ve talked about before , I am a fan of Rod Wave. I even received a Rod Wave blanket for christmas last year. He is having a concert in December and I really want to go but I am not sure if I would be able to. The first song is Come See Me by Rod Wave. His music is relatable , relaxing , and just puts you in your feelings. I want to restate some of the lyrics in the song that I relate to personally. “ I don’t know if you love me like before , Just tell me when to let go” and “I used to see ya call my phone and get butterflies , These days my stomach turn , I don’t know why I think about you all the time , I was hopin’ this is love, and you ain’t just down for the ride.” Next song is I Know You by Faye Webster. I have never heard of this artist before I heard this song and don’t listen to her other songs. The way I found this song is because I heard a snippet of it on Tiktok and was curious what the whole song sounded like. I found the song , read the lyrics to get a better understanding , and then just had the song on replay every since. Some of the lyrics in this song that I relate to include, “I’ll quiet down if it’s what you want , I understand I’m not the only one , For you , So tell me what you’re looking for , Is it a picture-perfect girl , For you?” and “I’m here regardless of the pain , Don’t ever tell me to go away , From you , When we’re old and have to leave the Earth , I’ll still remember all i’ve learned , From You.” I enjoy songs that I can relate to and that I can actually sit and think about. I’ll see you again blog , bye !!

Hello blog, how was your day? I am so tired. I just got off of work. I am somewhat excited for spring break. Today I will be speaking to you about how my group and I had to refilm one of the sciences for the final task.  In the peer review, Jahziah’s sister is the one that watched our final task and gave us comments on it. She said the lighting during the dance scene was bad. She said since it was too light, it didn’t give the feeling that the actors were at a party. After we noticed this mistake, we decided to plan another day to refilm this scene. Around 5 to 6 people made it to the refilming day.  The day we decided to refill most of the people canceled so we had to work with who was there. It was a little upsetting and stressful but we made it work. The main characters were able to attend, but we didn’t have extra people for the dancing scene.  when everyone got to Jahziah’s house, we decided to talk and plan how we were going to to refilm this scene to make it better...

First Day of Editing

 Hello blog, how has your day been? Did you have anything fun planned for the weekend? I have been fine. I worked so, I am really tired.  In today's blog I will be telling you how my first day of editing went. The group and I decided to do all the editing in class together so the work was equally distrusted. We all made sure to share any ideas we had during this process as well.  I wanted to make the editing process easy. So, the scenes were all shot on different days and the scenes would be edited separately as well. It makes things easier for everyone. I use Inshot to edit videos. It is easy and the features are easy to learn. This app has so many cool features to use. I really enjoy the audio effects Inshot has on the app.  The first scene was filmed in Jahziahs bedroom. Finally Finished!!

 Hello Blog, how did your day go? It’s almost Friday. The day went by kind of quick. Do you have any plans for the weekend? I work Saturday and Sunday so, that’s what i’ll be doing.  Today was the last day of editing. It took some time but, I am so excited to see how it turns out. There is some bad news that J should probably mention…  So, our third member of the group, Kester might be switching schools. this came out of nowhere. if we had to re-film, we would have to find somebody to play his part. we made memories during this project so it’s kind of sad to see him go. hopefully he’ll go on and do better at his new school.  Some bad news about editing is that we won’t be able to get the texts on the screen. The group and I have to find a font for the peoples names that were part of the film. We tried to find another way to show the viewers the back-and-forth text messages.
